Worked well for my shiba inu

My shiba puppy has thick short fur. None of my brushes worked for her. She was definitely shedding, but I struggled to effectively remove her undercoat.Running out of ideas, I sprayed her with a bottle and started brushing. I was able to remove some of her undercoat, but she hated being sprayed.But with this brush, she didn't seem overly bothered by the water vapor. After the initial shock, I calmed her down with some treats and she sat there letting me brush her for about 20 minutes. I finally managed to remove her undercoat.

Can't believe we made it without this

we have one cat that does not liked to be brushed, and has hairball issues. He not only allowed me to brush him, but I was able to get a lot of fur before he decided he was done being brushed (filled the brush 3 times). He was almost immediately receptive to the brush and even rubbed his face on it, which is big for him. Overall 3 accepted it and are not bothered, 1 is still a bit iffy but I can brush her, and the last is a bit panicky still (but she came from a bad home, so she is still a bit skittish). I am sure they will all come to love it though.

Like any dog, when I first presented this, they were curiously sniffing it but not enthusiastic about it touching them with a "What the heck is that? I don't trust it!" attitude. However, after just a few strokes, they all were quite happy with it. The little plastic tips on the ends of the bristles prevents a scratchy feeling, and it did a great job of collecting loose hair - which was easily removed with a push of the button on the back. I had a straight-handled brush years ago, the angled handle on this one makes maintaining full-head contact while brushing easier.

I have weird cats. They don’t like being held, they won’t sit by you and will leave if you sit by them, you can pet them, ONE time, after that they leave. But we love them.
